Lao PDR has managed to preserve its culture from the influence of other countries. With its distinctive cultural blend with Buddism, it has bloomed its unique cultural legacy, making it renown as one of the most wanted tourist spots in the region. However, the cartoon field has not been promoted well in terms of modernization or getting influence from other countries. Lao cartoons are not well-known or well-paid, and the most influential cartoonists in Laos are from Japan.

Besides, Laos talented artists rather find work in other countries than inside the country, it is hard to find a quality work. Remaining Lao artists are mainly focused on painting and lack comic-style art skills. Therefore, there is an opportunity to create quality Lao comic books by combining Lao artists' talent with technology, creative design, and motivational pictures.

Jumpaa Comics is an impressive company that creates a variety of art content, including cartoon comics made by talented Lao artists.
